PAWS, Cabanas.....

On 18 April 2023, Cacela Dog Haven (in partnership with "A Dog's Life") opened the

PAWS Charity Shop in Cabanas de Tavira, based in a residential area.  This was the start of an

endeavour that enabled us to continue with and expand the work we do to rescue, rehabilitate

and rehome dogs in our part of the eastern Algarve. 

​

The shop deals mostly with clothing, sporting goods, bric-a-brac, household goods, books, etc.

​​​​Primarily, we used the shop for all donations (including furniture), but we quickly realised that

we'd need more space!  Donations have poured through our doors..... the generosity and kindness

of people is amazing!  They just desperately want to ensure that their pre-loved items were used

to help people who could not afford retail shopping, whilst raising funds to alleviate the suffering

of dogs in our area.

The partnership with "A Dog's Life" ended towards the end of 2024 and since then, both shops have fallen under the Cacela Dog Haven banner.

To accommodate the furniture that we were fortunate enough to receive, we took on another shop in Conceição for a few months and then moved to Vila Nova Cacela in April 2025, creating PAWS...too
