There are a few roles to choose from and pleasse note that above all else, CDH is concerned that everybody feels comfortable, safe and respected... when a volunteer applies to work at either of the shops, or at the Haven, your signature on the application form confirms your commitment to CDH values... and for that, we thank you.

PAWS Charity Shop..... the first shop is based in Cabanas de Tavira, in a quiet residential area.  The shop deals mostly with clothing, sporting goods, bric-a-brac, books, etc.  The tasks are well-defined, the shop is clean and the layout is organised.  There is an excellent on-boarding programme to help volunteers feel welcome, included and comfortable.  Tasks are tailored to accommodate a volunteer's strengths and preferences.  Click here for the online application form - Cabanas de Tavira.

PAWS...Too Charity Shop.... the second shop is based in Vila Nova de Cacela and stocks mainly furniture and an assortment of associated decorative items.  Click here for the online application form - Vila Nova de Cacelha.

Cacela Dog Haven.... there are various tasks available at the Haven.  We have a kennel cleaning/feeding team and we certainly welcome the help of keen gardeners, or just those who'd like to help keep our Haven grounds clean. CDH Walking Group.... this is wonderful for those who'd like to get in a few thousand steps and at the same time, enjoy being close to our fabulous dogs and most importantly, contributing to their socialisation, learning to walk on- and off-lead, getting out and about away from the Haven, the benefits of exercise and of course, helping them with basic commands.  Click here for the online application form - CDH Walking Group.
